    Owned for the last 22 years, this is a 'slabside' Cobra in road trim. With 271 bhp and weighing 1050 kg the 'cruising' back axle gives 0-100 mph in 12 seconds and a top speed (on track) of 165 mph. The alternative 'sprint' back axle gives 0-100 mph in 10.2 seconds and 147 mph, not bad for a car launched in 1963! It is a unique colour combination as only 6 Cobras were painted ivory, and this is the only one with a saddle interior. The paint is original.

    Built in 1963 and rebuilt by the previous owner in 1972. The car is largely original apart from the colour, originally Colorado red, it is now a BMC colour, Teal Blue, in cellulose, dating from 1972, so it hasn't done too badly. We asked the previous owner, a collector, Arthur Carter, why he changed the colour, he said he "liked the Teal Blue". We have to agree. The car is used a lot, is part of the family, and answers to the name of "Scooby Do" as he's long legged, good natured, and the "wrong" colour.
